We are now looking for a Director of Advertising Partnerships. The purpose of this role will be to build strategic partnerships with East Coast advertising clients and agencies to break new paid content and media revenue on behalf of the Guardian US.

Reports to: VP Sales East and Midwest

Location: New York

Hybrid/Remote/In-Person: Hybrid

Terms and conditions: Full-time, permanent

Salary range: 145K-$175K, with a commercial incentive

Key Responsibilities

  • Leverage existing relationships and build new relationships with key agency and client stakeholders
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities
  • Develop, close, and manage revenue-generating programs that achieve client objectives and lead to repeat business
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders across marketing, ad operations, and account management
  • Optimize and troubleshoot revenue deals
  • Develop account strategies with internal stakeholders
  • Ability to be proactive, take ownership, and work independently
  • Uphold the Guardian's standards of integrity and respect for all

Key skills & qualifications

  • Minimum 5-7+ years of direct digital online brand sales
  • Trusted relationships with senior agencies and client partners on the East Coast
  • Proven track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets
  • SalesForce Pipeline management
  • Experience selling online media, content, podcasts, and newsletters
  • Worked in a news publishing organization or international publishing environment (preferred)
