We're now looking for an Agency Lead to join our award winning advertising in a key commercial role, to build and grow meaningful relationships with advertising agencies across the UK and drive commercial success through strategic partnerships.

About the Role

  • Crafting advertising sales strategies: for agencies on your patch, as well as prospecting and selling the Guardian.
  • Prospecting: ensuring a steady pipeline of revenue opportunities from agencies by implementing agency sales strategy.
  • Relationships: ensure the Guardian is represented amongst the most influential planners, strategists and decision makers within your patch.
  • Sales opportunities: develop and implement weekly and quarterly sales packages to relevant customers with a focus on calendar events across the year.
  • Pitching: contribute insights to inform pitches, understanding what the client will want to buy and drive fame for our work.

About You

  • Demonstrable success in a similar role with a track record of driving new business in advertising or related industry.
  • Proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets, with a focus on revenue growth and client acquisition.
  • Experience in selling £500k + campaigns or long term partnerships and building relationships with top decision-makers at agencies.
  • In-depth understanding of the advertising industry, including current trends, client needs, and competitive landscape.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills and the ability to develop and maintain strong business relationships with agency clients.
  • Proficient in analysing sales data and market trends to make informed decisions and accurate revenue projections.

You'll have 30 days of annual leave per year (plus bank holidays) with the option to purchase an additional 5 days. Our pension scheme is generous; if you contribute 5% then we will contribute 8-12% (depending on your age).
