We're now looking for a Senior Strategy Manager to help shape and lead the Guardian's long-term strategy, supporting priority projects and partnering with colleagues across the organisation to inform key decision-making.
About the RoleSitting within the Strategy and Business Development team and reporting to the Head of Strategy, this role plays a key part in formulating the Guardian's vision and strategic roadmap. You'll work closely with senior leaders and cross-functional teams, and have the opportunity to contribute to projects that impact our future direction.
In this role, you will:
- Support the development and evolution of the Guardian's organisation-wide strategy, ensuring it informs key business decisions.
- Lead or co-lead high-priority strategic projects, engaging with diverse teams across the business.
- Monitor organisational performance and support key reporting processes.
- Analyse key market and audience trends, providing insight to help shape future strategy.
- Guide the creation of business cases, working with colleagues across disciplines to assess opportunities and identify sustainable growth.
- Support others in conducting complex analysis, and advise on approaches that support learning and evidence-based decisions.
We're keen to hear from people who can bring a mix of the following:
- Experience in consulting or within a corporate/media strategy setting.
- Familiarity with business case development and quantitative analysis (e.g. financial modelling, market sizing).
- Strategic thinking and the ability to structure complex problems into actionable steps.
- A collaborative mindset and the ability to engage people across diverse teams and leadership levels.
- Clear and inclusive communication skills.
- Experience or understanding of media or publishing sectors is welcome but not required.
