As a Social Video Producer- Sport, you'll be at the heart of the Guardian's social and video content creation, collaborating with video, social, and sport editors to produce engaging material for multiple platforms.
With a sharp editorial eye, you'll craft platform-tailored content that resonates with our audience. From fast-turnaround graphics to dynamic video edits, you'll bring key stories to life with your creativity and technical skills.

About You
- Keen interest in sports media and awareness of developments in sport video and/social media
- Ability to create content that will attract new audiences to Guardian Sport
- Strong writing skills with a flair for distilling long, complex information into engaging and concise copy.
- Experience working across a range of social media platforms, with a nuanced understanding of each platform's unique ecosystem.
- Proven ability to produce social media videos from start to finish using Adobe Premiere.
- Experience working in a newsroom.
- Basic knowledge of After Effects or other graphics software, with the ability to shoot video an advantage but not essential.
- Basic understanding of issues related to sports rights, licensing and geo-blocking.
- Experience setting up a studio for reporter filming is advantageous, as is field producing and shooting for social media.
- Ideally some journalistic training, including knowledge of media law.
- Ideally you'll have a demonstrable ability to bring a diverse perspective to this role
